Introducing "PanelWave", an open ecosystem for interactive graphic novels. Panels become a story graph: readers can take branching paths, switch languages mid-read, and experience sound, video and animated speech balloons. Creators write, lay out and publish their works in a browser-based studio, and AI tools can turn screenplays and finished pages into editable projects. The format is open, the player is open source, and PanelWave is currently in closed beta.
